And if last time mobile gamers received a remaster of Battle for Bikini Bottom – a port of the game from the PlayStation 2 – now we are preparing an arcade. Meet – SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures. We will be able to visit familiar locations, only in an alternative reality. You see, in the story, Patrick broke the time machine, and all the heroes scattered across different realities. Now we must help Bob and his friends get back safe and sound.
From the trailer, you can see that the characters differ in level of rarity; probably their level of production depends on it. The gameplay will be vertical, and the only thing we need to do is tap on buildings to collect various currencies. Publishing is the studio Kongregate; these guys have behind them “Crocodile Swampy 2”, TMNT: Mutant Madness, The Trail and other arcade projects on popular franchises.
SpongeBob’s Idle Adventures is coming to iOS and Android this summer. Most likely it will be a shareware project with microtransactions.
