In State of Decay 2, you will have to deal with different types of zombies. Some of them will not present problems, but others can cause some serious complications. Below you will find all the information you need to help you fight all types of zombies.

screamer

This enemy may look like it doesn’t pose much of a threat because it has no arms and can’t attack at all. However, this monster serves as a wake-up call. This zombie starts screaming when it detects a threat and summons another zombie from the area. Eliminate the Screamer first when you are exploring or when you encounter a group of zombies. The best way to kill them is to shoot them from a distance or hit them with a car (unless the Screamer is inside a building, of course). Charging in Screamer can result in your character being stunned, which can put you in serious danger.

Blower

Zombie with green skin and a huge belly. Paradoxically, a dead Bloater is more dangerous than one that is “alive” – upon death, it emits a poisonous cloud that is extremely dangerous to humans. Because of this, the Bloater must be destroyed with firearms from a greater distance. You also have to remember not to ride them with a car, because your car can fill up with Blather’s gas, which will force everyone in the car to get out. Additionally, a headshot only decapitates that enemy. The dandy can still explode when you get close to him. Frant is presumed dead when he explodes and releases gas.

plague of zombies

A red-skinned zombie with fiery red eyes. This enemy can be encountered near their nest. Watch out for the disease that your character can contract. The only way to save an infected character is to create a cure. Otherwise, this person will die and turn into a zombie. This cure can be crafted using 5 samples that can be obtained from defeated Plague Zombies or by destroying a Blood Plague.

wild zombie

Enemies with yellow skin. They are very agile, strong and can keep your character on the ground. This exposes you to attacks from other zombies. Avoid Feral’s attack by jumping – the zombie lands on the ground, giving you a few seconds to react and counterattack. Let this enemy jump towards you. Dodge and perform the last step when this enemy is on the ground. Remember that this must be done in an instant which means you may need a lot of practice. Another good way to defeat a Feral Zombie is to simply drive over them with a car, because this enemy cannot attack someone who is inside the car.

Armored zombie

An armored enemy that is difficult to kill due to its armor. The best way to take out this enemy is to use a melee weapon – save your ammo, it still won’t hurt.

Juggernaut

The biggest and most dangerous zombie. This enemy is hard to kill – you will need a lot of weapons to defeat him. In addition, you should know that a collision with a car will not cause much damage. Avoid this enemy at all costs. However, if you have to face him, you should try to take a few survivors with you. Avoid slow Juggernaut moves and use fast counters. However, the best, least expensive, and most effective way to defeat this enemy is to use firearms or larger caliber explosives.
