Bad news for those who changed their region on Steam for the sake of low prices. Valve announced that it will change the store currencies in Argentina and Turkey to US dollars on November 20, 2023. According to the announcement, the reason for this decision is due to the fact that due to the volatility of currency exchange rates in these countries, it has become more difficult for developers to select and maintain prices for their games.

The change in currencies in Argentina and Turkey will occur as part of a pricing change and the addition of two new regions: LATAM-USD (Latin America – US Dollar; includes Argentina) and MENA-USD (Middle East and North Africa – US Dollar; includes Turkey).
