FireFly Studios has released a free demo of Stronghold’s 2021 real-time strategy remaster. You can download it through the service Steam.
The purpose of the demo is to give players a chance to try out Stronghold: Definitive Edition in advance. The developers ask everyone who cares to download the demo and leave feedback. You can do this right in the game through the appropriate section.
Stronghold: Definitive Edition will include not only the classic 26 mission campaigns, but also a brand new one created by Firefly Studios co-founders Simon Bradbury and Eric Ouelette. In addition, there will be a new historical series “Castle Trail”, consisting of 10 separate scenarios. The graphics in the game will also be better, thanks to improvements in textures, animation and lighting. The soundtrack will be updated, and the voice acting will return to the actors who took part in the work on the original. There will be new maps in multiplayer, as well as support for the Steam Workshop, where players can share their creations.
