All smartphones were instantly sold out on pre-orders
On August 11, Xiaomi held a press conference dedicated to its 10th anniversary, at which several interesting new products were announced, including the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, also known as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.
On the same day, we started accepting pre-orders on popular platforms, which ended pretty quickly. Popular marketplace Jingdong has accepted pre-orders for more than 27,000 smartphones. Whereas in the Tmall store, about 10,000 smartphones were available for booking.
As you can see, the launch batch of Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra will be tiny, as the insiders claimed, although the leader of Xiaomi promised that they will prepare enough smartphones for everyone. However, there is nothing new here. The company’s management makes such statements year after year, and people cannot buy new flagships for several weeks after the release.
Speaking of this smartphone, it is worth adding that Xiaomi has released the source code for the MIUI 12 firmware based on the Android 10 operating system, which will allow those wishing to create custom firmware for the new flagship smartphone.
It also became known that Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra will eventually be released outside of China.
