The creators of the Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown racing simulator have published a detailed road map with plans for the future. They shared the details of the development of the game for the next 12 months, covering content in the framework of the fourth season and the entire second year of support.
Season 4
- Casino – The casino functionality will be introduced in two stages.
- On the launch of the season (July 23), two stores will appear in the casino: auto parts store where you can buy discs and license plates, and a clothing store with luxury items. A slot machine will also be available where you can win the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series as the main jackpot or 77,777 casino chips. The chips can be purchased at the course of 2 Solar Coins = 1 Casino chip.
- The update in the middle of the season (end of August) will add a slot machine with high payments (1,000,000 casino chips) and a poker game with three different rates for bets. It will also be possible to exchange casino chips back to Solar Coins.
- Group ping – The possibility of creating groups of up to four players has been improved, and the “Group Ping” function will create routes of four points and send them to other members of the group.
- Improving active aerodynamics – All cars in the game received accurate modes of active aerodynamics and air brakes.
- Improving the user interface:
- In free mode, you can now completely hide the voice chat icon for a cleaner display of the interface.
- Players’ cards are improved: now they can be seen on the map regardless of distance, with the possibility of setting up the display.
- Improved world map: filters are added for various sections of the map, tasks and other players, as well as managing points of interest.
- Race with restriction of stock cars – 40 races were introduced, where only stock cars are used without improvements.
- New cars – At the launch of the 4 season, Aston Martin Valour, Aston Martin DB11 Volante, Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe VR Widebody Kit (Solar Pass, level 1), Delorean Alpha5 (Solar Pass, level 15), Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato (Solar Pass, level 50), Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series (Casino car).
Future changes (without specific terms)
- Cross-registry – Developers are actively working on the possibility of playing with users from other continental regions. This requires large -scale changes in network infrastructure. The priority of the cross-registry is higher than the cross-platform game.
- Groups for 8 players – In the next season of the second year, the opportunity to create groups of up to eight players will be implemented.
- Car sale – This demanded function will appear in the second year. The price of the car will depend on the distance traveled.
- Further optimization, improvement of graphics and performance – Season 5 will bring the processed version of the graphic conveyor, which improves the balance between CPU and GPU. The optimization of code, visual effects, physics, AI, as well as server performance continues.
- Improvement of sound – Based on the reviews of players received in polls, work is underway to improve the sounds of cars. Some have already been fixed, others in the process, including future cars of the season 5.
The second year of support
Season 5
- Taxi missions – deeper missions for the transportation of customers, requiring compliance with the rules of the road and taking into account the unique features of each client (for example, his mood, preferences in clothing, requests for the opening of windows or changing the radio station).
- Improving the engine KT – World cycles are processed, lighting in cities, reflection on cars. Reduced the amount of rain and puddles on the island of Hong Kong, they will appear only during precipitation. Work is underway to support FSR 3.1 and Xess. The chider of water for better reflections has been completely redesigned.
- Physical clothing stores -The menu-oriented clan stores will turn into physical, accessible to visit the location.

Season 7
- Improved living events and Solar pasS – the dynamics of living events will change (not only races, but also other tests will appear) and Solar Pass (the need for repeating grinds will decrease, income will increase).
- Official racing center – The intra -game space available for visiting at the Hong Kong Island Hippodrome, which allows players to load into the rank and nursing players of the race.
Season 8
- At home -Players will be able to buy houses that will become their headquarters. Buying will be carried out through physical real estate agencies. The houses will be empty and completely customous: players will be able to arrange furniture, change the decor of walls and floors.
- The possibility of customization will be expanded to gardens.
- The size of the garages will depend on the size of the house.
- Friends will be able to see each other’s cars on driveways.
- The card will evolve, showing the houses under construction, which will encourage players to explore the island.
New brands and plans for the future
The second year will bring many new automobile brands such as Pagani, Detomaso, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Puma, Michelin and others. Two new cars have already been confirmed for the 5th season: Detomaso P72 and Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.
The developers said their plans go beyond the second year and include potential adding motorcycles and yachts.
