A limited-time demo of the real-time strategy Tempest Rising has become available on Steam. You can download it for free and play until August 28, 2023. For this you need to go to page in the store and click on the button that says “Request access”, after which the game will appear in your library.
The Tempest Rising Demo features the first single-player mission of the Global Defense Force (GDF) campaign, pitting you against the deadly Tempest Dynasty and other perils on the war-torn planet Earth. There are a total of five types of GDF units available, from Drone Operator to Sentinel Scout, as well as six enemy types.
Tempest Rising is a real-time strategy game set on Earth after a nuclear war. The game includes 3 different factions, each of which has its own specific combat and economy. The maps contain neutral buildings and settlements that can be controlled or captured. The gameplay as a whole focuses on strategic management, but personal skills are also important. With a variety of customization options, you can tailor the game to your preferences, both in singleplayer and multiplayer.
