HoYoverse has officially unveiled the next major update 4.1 for the action-adventure RPG Genshin Impact, called “To the Shining of the Stars Below.” It will be released on September 27th and will bring with it new content in Fontaine.
With the release of update 4.1, the territory of Fontaine will expand. The game will feature a new underwater location and ruins, where players will face a variety of dangers. The new boss will be the Thousand-Year Pearl Seahorse, which deals Electro damage. Players will also be able to use an experimental field generator that allows them to suppress gravity to jump higher and dodge attacks.
The main storyline in Genshin Impact will continue in the northern region of Fontaine. By exploring the thriving Cour de Fontaine, players will be able to see another side of the region’s history. In the fortress of Meropid, hidden in the depths of the sea, they will encounter secrets that may change their understanding of Fontaine. Here travelers will go in search of Childe. Floating reservoirs of gravitational anomalies and ruins will tell about the past of the region. They will tell about the deadly attempt of the Research Institute to prepare for the great flood.
Two new characters will appear that consume HP for certain types of attacks and then restore it:
- Neuvillette (5★, Hydro, Catalyst) – High Judge of Fontaine, uses charged attacks to release seething streams in a straight line, causing Hydro damage.
- Risley (5★, Cryo, Catalyst) – head of the Meropid fortress, uses techniques
melee to deal Cryo damage.
Players will also find many events and rewards. At the festival you will be able to take part in mini-games and receive an exclusive 4★ Catalyst. Daily login will reward you with 10 Intertwined Fates and other rewards. In addition, all players will receive Source Stones ×1600, weak resin ×4, and 2 tools: a portable aerodynamic device for generating gelatin bubbles via in-game mail.
