The multiplayer action game Wayfinder entered early access on August 17, 2023, and the launch was a failure. A lot of people who bought Founder’s Packs simply couldn’t log in to the servers, causing the game’s Steam page to quickly fill with negative reviews.

The developers of Wayfinder issued an official statement in which they apologized for the terrible launch. According to them, the interest in the game turned out to be much higher than during the past tests, and due to the large influx, the queue system immediately broke down. For this reason, they have adopted not the most effective, but the only solution available – to limit the number of people on the server.

The apologies were also joined by publishers in the person of Digital Extremes, who are part-time developers of Warframe. They acknowledged that they were unable to meet the expectations of the players placed on their infrastructure.

The authors are now working on plans to provide compensation to everyone who bought one of the founder’s kits. There are no details yet, but all Wayfinder owners will receive bonuses, regardless of whether they logged into the game or not.

Currently, the queuing system in Wayfinder is fully functional. However, the developers will continue to increase the bandwidth of servers in all regions so that all users can log into the game without problems.
