Bandai Namco announced that Tekken 8 fighting is continuing to demonstrate excellent sales and has already overcome the line of 3 million copies sold. For comparison, the previous part of the series, Tekken 7, reached this mark a little slower, although in the end it parted more than 12 million copies.
At the same time, the publisher announced the first character for the second season of the game. They will be Anna Williams – an experienced mercenary and younger sister Nina Williams, known to fans of the series with their graceful but deadly battle style. Owners of Character Year 2 Pass will be able to play for Anna on March 31, and for all other fighters it will become available for purchase on April 3.
Bandai Namco also shared plans for the further development of Tekken 8. As part of the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass, the following content awaits players:
- Summer 2025 – New Arena and a new character
- Fall 2025 – New character
- Winter 2025 /2026 – new arena and new character
