The developers of MMO Catly have denied rumors about the use of blockchain and NFTs in the game

Since the demonstration of the trailer for the mysterious MMO game Catly, the public has been divided into two camps: some were touched by the quality of the fur on the cats, while others accused the project of adding blockchain technologies and NFTs. Separately, some users criticized the trailer because, in their opinion, it was created using generative AI. Developers from SuperAuthenti commented on these rumors to several gaming media outlets.

For example, here is a quote from the publication: GameDeveloper:

“We didn’t use generative AI to create the video and game. In fact, we are very surprised by such speculation. We don’t think there are any artificial intelligence tools that could create a video like this. Industry experts confirm this opinion.”

In addition, the developers provided GameDeveloper with a video demonstrating the creation of the trailer. And, according to GameDeveloper, the footage clearly shows what the trailer looked like in the early stages and what happened to it after all the effects were added. Therefore, it is highly doubtful that any generative AI was used.

In addition, a representative of SuperAuthenti denies the use of any blockchain technologies in the game itself:

“Catly is not a blockchain game. There are no NFTs in it. Our company/project has never issued any blockchain currency or NFTs. Our company does not own and has never owned any blockchain currencies or NFTs.”
