Yes, you understood everything correctly – now we will tell you even more about the game called The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim. This is a role-playing game set in the same fictional world of Tamriel, but now players are invited to explore one of its largest provinces – Skyrim.

The world of Skyrim is the cold, icy, rocky valleys in the north, where nature itself breathes with ancient customs buried deep in the abandoned tombs of heroes and common people. Skyrim is the eternal autumn of the Rift with its cute, yellow birch trees and ruthless, huge bears. Skyrim is a foggy swamp overgrown with large poisonous bells that surround a lonely, unknown building with blood stains on the walls. Skyrim is sunny Solitude on the way up the mountain; it is no less sunny Whiterun with the Companions and the House of Warm Winds. Skyrim is a place that you don’t want to leave for a long time, and after saying goodbye to it, you will definitely feel the desire to return there again. This is a big world inhabited by harsh Nords, inspired by Viking stories and tales and similar to the inhabitants of Scandinavia. But besides them, many other races live on this earth: from the Imperials and Altmer hated by the Nords to the quirky Argonians and the Khajiit who miss their warm sands. Nature will pleasantly amaze you with its diversity, and the sky, almost always streaked with northern lights, will make you constantly admire them. Many caves, lost in the wilderness of houses, tombs and the ruins of Dwemer cities will be waiting for your arrival; every city in Skyrim will be happy to welcome you (and offer quite a few quests). Well, and, of course, what M’aiq the Liar was talking about so long ago – dragons!

Plot

As always, you start playing as a criminal. More precisely, nothing is known about whether you really are a criminal or not, but the imperial guards have no time to figure it out, so you find yourself in a wagon that is being driven to execution. But you should not be afraid of death – because at the last moment you will be rescued. And, having escaped from the destroyed Helgen, where your execution never took place, you find yourself face to face with the world. But now – about the main storyline. It soon turns out that you are a Dovakin who has the gift of the Voice. You will be called to the Throat of the World, where the Greybeards will teach you how to better master your gift. Then you will learn that Alduin – the Eater of the World – resurrects dragons throughout Skyrim, and only you, using the Scream, can stop him.

But before that, you will have to work hard … And no matter who you will be by the time you join forces with three other dragonborn in Sovngarde – you can at least serve the Daedra, which is considered dishonorable; you can be a member of the Thieves Guild or be a ruthless assassin of the Dark Brotherhood; You can become a Companion by accepting the gift-curse to transform into a werewolf, or join the vampires by becoming a terror on the wings of the night. You will still be a hero … But how different characters will treat you is another matter. Separately, it must be said about the wonderful plot add-ons that often come with the game, but they can be installed separately. One of them immerses you in the history of vampires, and the other – the history of the most powerful Dragon Priest.
