One of the oldest Mmorpg Tibia is preparing for a major update. As previously announced, for the first time in almost three decades a new class will appear in the game – a monk. The developers from Cipsoft presented the first gameplay teaser of the new character, and in the near future the test server will open, where selected players will be able to try the class in action.
The monk will offer a unique style of play with special mechanics and the possibility of choosing various development paths. In his arsenal:
- Four new gaming mechanics: mantra, harmony, elemental connection and virtue
- 25 new spells, including attacking, supporting and healing
- More than 70 new items, including weapons, armor, amulets and accessories
- The new region is the blue valley, the additional quest “Triune Way”, the new NPCs and achievements
In order for the class to organically fit into the Tibia game world, the developers also made edits into old quests and NPC dialogs.
From February 25, testing the monk on a separate server will begin. The process will be divided into three phases:
- Phase 1 (February 25–28) – the study of the basic mechanic and early gameplay
- Phase 2 (March 4–7) – Content testing for characters 400 and 800 levels
- Phase 3 (March 18–25) – checking the interaction between classes and PVP balance
As necessary, testing will expand. The official release date of the new class has not yet been announced.
