If you’ve been waiting for the announcement of a Red Dead Redemption re-release for PC with improved graphics, you’re in for a disappointment. Rockstar Games has officially announced a port of the game for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 consoles. The digital release will take place on August 17, and the physical edition will go on sale on October 13. The price will be $49.99.

The publication will include both the original game and the Undead Nightmare add-on, dedicated to the zombie uprising in the Wild West. No graphical improvements have been reported. It is worth noting that on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, the game works through backwards compatibility with higher resolutions. Probably for this reason, a version for consoles from Microsoft has not been announced.

It is noteworthy that the port of Red Dead Redemption will support text localization into Russian. In the original version for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, we recall that there was no translation.
