In honor of the 25th anniversary of the legendary jRPG FINAL FANTASY VII, the developers of the mobile battle royale Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier decided to hold a crossover event. Until February 28, players can take part in festive in-game events and get skins, accessories, banners and more on the theme of the seventh part.
During the event, players have the opportunity to acquire skins based on the original low-poly designs of Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret, Red XIII, and Chocobos. In addition, free exclusive character skins for Shinra SOLDIER and Cloud Dress are available, as well as a Buster Sword back accessory.
By defeating monsters on the battlefield, players will receive special reward boxes and collect data fragments that unlock collectibles. Completing missions will also earn them Premium Shinra Pack (FF7) Tickets and Data Fragments. Finally, simply logging in daily will grant Premium Shinra Pack (FF7) Tickets, which can be redeemed for a chance to get items from the Collaboration Store.
“Thank you so much for continuing to play Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier,” said producer Shoichi Ichikawa. “I played the original Final Fantasy VII as a child and am thrilled to be back after so many years as a franchise producer to celebrate our 25th anniversary with all of you! We’re starting a collaboration with Final Fantasy VII, and I hope it evokes deep nostalgia for fans who played the original game 25 years ago, while also appealing to newcomers to the franchise with its cute polygonal style. I would like everyone to join the game during this collaboration period and have fun.”
With the event wrapping up on February 28th, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier will begin its second season, bringing with it new materia, weapons, a boss, a new dragoon style, and more.
