At the recent New Game+ Showcase 2026 presentation, developers from Mundfish presented a trailer for their new project called The Cube. Unlike the original Atomic Heart, the new product is a multiplayer shooter with role-playing elements, the action of which takes place in a universe already familiar to players. The main feature of the gameplay will be battles in dynamic arenas, reminiscent of a huge cube in structure. Users will have to constantly move between sectors and edges of this space, adapting to the changing geometry of the battlefield in order to survive in clashes with opponents.
The presented video confirms the preservation of the visual style and atmosphere of Soviet retrofuturism. In the video you can see the return of iconic characters, including Baba Zina and the twin robots that became the symbol of the studio’s previous game. Judging by the footage, Mundfish plans to significantly expand the boundaries of the original setting, offering the audience a full-fledged competitive experience in a changing environment.
At the moment, the developers have not announced the exact release date for The Cube. The project has already received an official page on the Steam store, where users can add the game to their wishlist to track news.
