HoYoverse has revealed details of the major Moon V update titled “Hollow Moon Song: Variation – Return of the Wind Catcher” for Genshin Impact. The patch will be installed on February 25, 2026 and will add the long-awaited Grand Master Ordo Favonius to the game. Varka will join the roster of playable characters as the five-star elemental hero Anemo, who uses a two-handed sword in battle. His storyline will be revealed in a personal mission of legends, where the master will have to lead the opposition to the new Wild Hunt that threatens Lupus Borealis.
Varka’s combat mechanics introduce a dual-blade style unique to the game. Its abilities allow you to combine Anemo damage with other elements depending on the composition of the squad. The elemental skill imbues the right hand with the power of Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo elements borrowed from allies, while the left sword deals damage to Anemo. A special feature of the character is the ability to carry out charged attacks without spending stamina, which, together with the Witchcraft effect, significantly increases his mobility and attack potential. A nice bonus for players will be a free skin for Varka’s weapon, which can be obtained after defeating a fragment of the wolf spirit.
There will also be new events. The Knights of Ordo Favonius organize a number of events, among which Echoes of Memories stands out. Players will have to visit iconic places in Mondstadt that have undergone changes and capture them with a camera. Also planned is the return of the mechanics of making drinks for old friends, flight tests and a combat mode with the summoning of ghostly knights. The main reward for participating in the activities will be the new four-star catalyst “Illusory Gift: Star Sign”.
