The Prophecy mechanic will be permanently removed from Path of Exile

The developers of Action RPG Path of Exile have announced the 3.17.0 update, which will arrive on the game’s servers in early January 2022 along with a new addition. The patch will bring many changes, including the removal of the prophecy mechanic, some fateful unique items, the addition of a new NPC, and much more.

Also, the developers have warned that it is required to spend in advance silver coins, prophecies and fragments of the Pale Council before the launch of 3.17.0 in early 2022, since in the future they will become illiquid.

“Prophecy was released in 2016 and has been a core part of Path of Exile ever since. However, over time, it has become outdated and lagged behind newer content. In our January expansion, we are removing Prophecy from Path of Exile. Thus, you have limited time to spend silver coins and saved prophecies. In addition, we will naturally say goodbye to Navali and the Pale Council. However, don’t worry too much about Navali, she almost certainly foresaw it. “

As for the January addition itself, nothing is known about it yet. It is likely that they will tell about him around the middle of December or at the end of the month.
