In anticipation of the launch of NSD servers for the global version of MMORPG Throne and Liberty, publisher Amazon Games has published a lot of news related to the content in the game. We tried to accumulate the most interesting statements about differences from the Korean launch, the speed of opening content and details about noticeable differences between the two versions of the games.
Let’s start with the fact that the publisher decided to change the timing of game events. In the Korean version, most important events were held closer to midnight, but in the global version they were moved a couple of hours earlier. When converted to Moscow time, the following graph is obtained for European servers:
- Local events take place every 3 hours starting at 01:00 (04:00, 07:00, etc.)
- World bosses – 14:00, 17:00, 21:00, 23:00, 02:00
- Boonstones – Monday and Friday at 20:00
- Riftstones – Tuesday and Saturday at 20:00
- Archboss Queen Bellandir – Saturday at 21:00
- Archboss Tevent – Wednesday at 21:00
- Castle Siege (after unlocking) – every second Sunday at 17:00
The second change was the accelerated discovery of content using the Milestone system. The publisher said that some events will become available earlier, as previously there were times when players waited unreasonably long. However, the team tried to find a balance between the speed of server development and the speed at which players master the content, so that users will have time to familiarize themselves with each stage. Almost all T1 content in the Laslan and Stonegard regions will become available in about a month from the moment the server starts. In Korea, this stage lasted for a month and a half. You can find out more about the schedule in the attached images:
It is in October that the global version will receive the first event that will be released simultaneously with the version from NCSOFT – this is an event dedicated to the Halloween holiday. In the future, more and more events and content will appear simultaneously in all versions of the game.
In November we will have a castle siege, a tax delivery event, the first season of the 3v3 PvP arena and co-op T2 dungeons, but without T2 equipment. According to the publisher, they want to give players time to enjoy their progress in creating builds and improving equipment. In addition, users will be able to prepare for new content and take a break from farming equipment.
In December, the game will receive its first major update with new content and mechanics. At the moment, details have not been announced, but it is known that the game will receive some kind of new product along with the Korean version. It is likely that we are talking about expanding the possibilities of peaceful professions, a new field for the PvP arena and improving the Guardians system.
In general, Amazon Games plans to release major updates every 3-4 months, and the exact timing depends on the progress of the bulk of players. This will avoid creating imbalances in the strength of characters and not overstraining players with many new activities. In addition to this, it was decided to split and redo some content and mechanics:
- The Blessing of Solisium paid bonus, which provides a variety of “quality of life” improvements, is still being reworked and the timing of its introduction is unknown.
- The Substance Transformation mechanic, where you can get random gear by donating a few unwanted items, is also currently being reworked. The timing of its appearance in the global version is also unknown.
- The rune system and resonance effects are not planned to be introduced at the same time. In addition, the appearance of runes will not be tied to the entry of Challenge dungeons, as was the case in the Korean version. The publisher and developer are discussing possible changes related to obtaining runes.
- All changes are aimed at ensuring that players receive new content evenly and do not get tired of the constant race.
- The Talandre region and level 55 are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025.
- The decision to remove T2 equipment from cooperative T2 dungeons seems quite unexpected. It is currently unclear when and under what conditions players will have access to these items. I would venture to guess that it will be added in December 2024, 1.5-2 months before the opening of Talandre. However, there is an option that at the beginning of 2025, all T2 equipment will receive an equalizing rework before the introduction of orange items in the Korean version of the game.
- One day, the global and Korean versions of the game will become a single assembly without any differences.
