The developer and publisher of Tripwire Interactive reported the postponement of the release date of the Killling Floor 3 shooter for an indefinite period. This decision was influenced by the feedback of the players received after closed testing, which took place from February 20 to February 24, 2025: users complained about graphics quality, optimization and some game elements. After discussing the reviews, the team decided to further finalize the game, which will require additional time. Details of the changes and the release date will be declared later.
You can get acquainted with the letter from the developer team below:
“Dear Killing Floor fans, we decided to postpone the launch of Killing Floor 3 to an indefinite date later in 2025.
Having spent time on the collection and discussion of the reviews received during the recent closed beta testing, we realized that we missed. Our goal is not only to make Killing Floor 3 an ambitious step forward for the franchise, but also to preserve the main experience that you managed to find out and love.
With the full support of our Mother company Embracer Group, we work together on the schedule to solve many problems that players encountered during beta testing, including performance/stability, UI/UX, lighting and a feeling of weapons. It is too early to talk about what corrections will be implemented for launch, but we can confirm that an update that allows you to independently choose a class of perks and a character is planned for a post-release.
We are looking forward to a new opportunity to show you a more polished version of Killing Floor 3, and when we will be ready to share more detailed information, you will learn about this first. In the meantime, we thank you for patience and great support. “
