Firefly Studios has released a Remaster of the classical strategy in the Stronghold Crusader, which received the Definitive Edition subtitle. The updated edition is sold in Steam For 639 rubles, taking into account a temporary discount of 10%.
After the successful reception of Stronghold: Definitive Edition in 2023, Firefly Studios decided to reprint the Stronghold Crusader cult strategy, trying to maintain its classic basis, but significantly updating and expanding it. The developers actively took into account the reviews of the community, which allowed them to create an improved version that contains more functions, corrections and content than expected. This expanded and supplemented edition will allow the players to immerse themselves in historical battles on the Holy Land, evaluating the processed schedule and an improved sound created with attention to the original details. Actors, composer and developers of the original game worked on the project.
Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition expands the original game, adding 8 new types of troops and 4 new computer commander to fight. The game also includes new campaigns: 2 additional historical campaigns and 4 battle paths “Sees of Time” for a single game. For the first time, players will be able to go through a new joint path with a friend. The battle mode was significantly improved thanks to the opportunities requested by players, such as enlarged maps, additional settings and various improvements. All these innovations are designed to check the courage of both beginners and veterans of the series.
Players will be able to witness the confrontation between Richard Lion’s heart and Sultan Saladin, commanding the hardened crusaders in Arabian sands or leading the powerful army of the Middle East. Historical campaigns from the first, second and third crusades, as well as conflicts in certain crusaders, are recreated with new visual details and complemented by the completely redundant soundtrack from Robert L. Evino.
The game has to erect prosperous cities in the desert, managing the castle’s economy and its defense, commanding new Bedouins with unique attributes, fighting 20 computer opponents, overcoming joint paths with friends and besieging new fortresses on even larger maps. Remaster supports the network multiplayer up to 8 players via Steam, as well as the Steam workshop for user scenarios.
The developers promise to continue to support the game after launch, releasing regular updates and additions.
