The developers of the space RPG called Darkzone have announced the start of the second round of MBT. It has everything you’d expect from arcades: vertical gameplay, auto-battles, and so on. At the same time, we are promised more sophisticated RPG mechanics than in most mobile games. Of the main advantages, the developers highlight the following: auto-progress, loot collection inspired by Diablo and Path of Exile, several classes, direct trade between players, guilds, and no ads.
The local storyline is broken down into planets and missions. Hand-drawn graphics. There are cooperative missions, plus “world quests”. Characters are pumping even when the game is turned off (hello AFK Arena). In general, the project is more hardcore than the typical representatives of the genre. This is truly the hope for the genre. There is a little more information on official website… It is better not to look at the roadmap: there is false information there.
An early version of Darkzone is already available on iOS and Android. This is a shareware project with microtransactions up to RUB 4,490 per item. There is no Russian localization. According to Steam, the release is slated for the second quarter of 2021.
