The authors of the multiplayer shooter Delta Force continue to fight against cheaters and other violators of the rules of the game. Over the last week, from December 20 to December 26, 2024, the anti-cheat system stopped 6,331 attempts to cheat and 15,608 times players were forcibly disconnected from the game. 1,729 accounts received ten-year bans. However, after assessing the situation and receiving feedback from the players, the developers decided to slightly change the approach to fighting in the “Operations” extraction mode.
One of the significant changes was the punishment for playing with a cheater on the same team. After identifying a cheater, a check is carried out on his team. If players deliberately united, then all participants in such a scheme will face confiscation of income from previous matches or account blocking. This is due to the fact that some users received valuable equipment in this way without risking their main accounts.
In addition, a mechanism for compensating equipment in the event of death from a cheater is currently being tested. The developers warn that returning your equipment and weapons may take time, because it is necessary to collect statistics on the actions of the offender and make sure of his guilt.
The developers also explained why they decided to use anti-cheat at the system kernel level. Standard programs for gaining an advantage, although they allow you to see through walls and demonstrate 100% accuracy when shooting, can be easily detected and countered. But if you use advanced solutions at the kernel level, it is almost impossible to identify the intruder. That is why the team uses an anti-cheat that works on the same level as these fraudulent programs.
The authors continue to invest significant resources to combat cheaters and hope for success in their fight. After all, unfair play can disappoint the audience, and in such a highly competitive genre as shooters and extraction shooters, this can be fatal.
