The South Korean court partially satisfied the Nexon claim for the authors of Dark and Darker

The trial around Dark and Darker lasts almost two years: Nexon is trying to prove that its former employees illegally used internal developments to create their own game. Employees who left Nexon and founded Ironmace say that the former employer is unreasonably pursuing and maliciously interfering with doing business. All this resulted in several trials in South Korea and the USA, the seizure of the game from Steam and the launch of the launcher, many interrogations, searches and court hearings.

However, today, on February 13, 2025, the department of civil cases of the 63rd District Court of the city of Seoul made a decree: the game Dark and Darker does not violate the copyrights for the unrelated game Project P3, but at the same time Ironmace is guilty of illegal copying of the internal data of Nexon and A fine of 8.5 billion won (approximately $ 6 million) will pay.

The Nexon representative said that the lawsuit was partially satisfied, therefore, after discussing the results, the company plans to seek a review of the decision in a higher court.
