The Texas Chain Saw Massacre PC version will temporarily lose cross-play support due to cheaters

25725 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre PC version will temporarily lose cross-play support due to cheaters

In August of this year, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, an asymmetric multiplayer horror game based on the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, was released. Although the game received mostly positive reviews, it was not without criticism. One of the main disadvantages is the presence of a large number of cheaters on the PC. Because of this, not only PC players suffer, but also console players, since the project supports cross-platform multiplayer.

As a temporary solution to the problem, the developers did not come up with anything better than separate PC players from everyone else. After the release of the next patch, cross-play will only be supported between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (the feature was not originally available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One).

Fortunately, in the future, the authors of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre plan to bring cross-platform multiplayer back to the PC version. However, this will only happen when they make improvements to the anti-cheating system.
