The developers of the bloody multiplayer action game The Crackpet Show have announced a collaboration with an equally bloody animated series. The game will receive an add-on dedicated to the animated flash series in the dark humor genre called Happy Tree Friends. This will happen next month, September 27, 2023.
“Dear animal lovers! You asked, we did! More than 8 months after the release, we are ready to confirm the rumors circulating on the Internet about our collaboration with Happy Tree Friends. Yes, this is absolutely true, and we are happy to announce it,” the announcement reads.
The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition will include the following:
- 9 playable characters from Happy Tree Friends, each with a unique death animation.
- Lumpy as show host.
- Improved sounds and music from your favorite cartoon.
- Updated visuals
- And much more!
It is not yet confirmed exactly how The Crackpet Show: Happy Tree Friends Edition will be distributed. The announcement says that this is a “special version”, so it is possible that the developers will release a standalone add-on that does not require the original game.
Crackpet Show is an action game with Rogue-lite and Bullet Hell elements inspired by classic gore cartoons like Happy Tree Friends. Therefore, this collaboration literally suggested itself from the very beginning. In the game, you have to fight against enemies in various procedurally generated arenas alone or with other players. As you progress, you will be able to find new weapons and upgrade perks, but if you lose, you will have to start over.
