In May 2019, Huawei Technologies filed a patent with the National Intellectual Property Office of China, details of which only appeared today. Our colleagues from the Letsgodigital website created high-quality illustrations based on patent images and added a description of the device.

The smartphone will fold with the screen inward, but it has important differences from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2. For example, it doesn’t have a large external display. Instead, the device has received a narrow screen, which is located under the dual front camera.

This screen remains accessible even when the smartphone is folded. It can display information about calls, notifications, weather forecast, battery level and so on. The side protruding part of the body also serves as a storage for the stylus.

In addition to the dual front camera, there is also the main camera on the back, which includes four image sensors. Their characteristics have not yet been reported.
