The Grimlore Games studio has published the first road map for Titan Quest II, which determines the development plans of the game during the early access. Developers are going to release large updates about once every three months, adding new chapters with locations, opponents and tasks, fresh specializations (Masteries), a full -fledged character editor, new game systems and additional languages. Between them, small patches with improvements to a mechanic, balance, error correction and improvement of multiplayer will come out.
Key points of the roadmap:
- A new plot chapter with unique territories, enemies and trials.
- Editor of characters with expanded customization capabilities.
- New specialization for heroes.
- Support for additional languages.
In addition, a video was published in which Balint Martzzin, a leading system designer Grimlore Games, answered the community questions. We highlight the main theses from his answers:
- The project came out in early access because the developers want to work out key mechanics with players and improve them on the basis of feedback.
- The game will cost $ 49.99/€ 49.99. Now Titan Quest II in Steam and EGS is sold for $ 29.99/€ 29.99, and until August 8 there is a discount of up to $ 23.99/€ 23.99. The price will grow in stages throughout the early access.
- It is not planned to add microtransactions, but the release of paid DLC and large additions are planned.
- The release of the game is scheduled for the end of 2026, simultaneously with access to the PlayStation and Xbox.
- At the moment, the game is available in Steam, Epic Games Store and GeForce Now, but in the future the list can be expanded.
- At the moment, the game supports the early version of the multiplayer up to 4 players. A full -fledged cooperative system will come closer to the release of the game.
- There will be no maonets in the game so as not to violate the pace and balance of the game.
- It is not planned to introduce PVP transfers.
- The game partially implemented modding support, and the possibility of expanding the functionality will depend on the demand of the audience.
