Warner Bros. released the final trailer for the black comedy “Digger” – a new work by director Alejandro Iñárritu, known for “Birdman”, “The Revenant” and “Babel”.
The main role in the film was played by Tom Cruise, who played a businessman named Digger Rockwell. In the story, the character, who is called “the most powerful man in the world” in the trailer, is trying to save humanity from a global catastrophe, which he himself provoked.

Technologies developed by Rockwell’s company triggered the rapid melting of a large glacier. The environmental disaster in the film threatens to develop into a much larger threat, bringing the world very close to nuclear war.
At the end of the video, they even made fun of the iconic line from “Spider-Man”, remaking it as “With great power comes great opportunity to deny everything.”
For the role, Cruise transformed beyond recognition. The actor acquired a southern accent, thinning graying hair and a noticeably rounded figure, completely moving away from the image of the toned action hero familiar to viewers.
The overseas release of “Digger” will begin on October 2. Oscar winner Emmanuel Lubezki was responsible for the cinematography.
