For the game Medieval II: Total War, many modifications have been created based on the famous universes. There are projects that take place in the world of The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Forgotten Lands from D&D, The Elder Scrolls and Warcraft.
However, there have not yet been large-scale mods for the series of books by Andrzej Sapkowski called The Witcher. A small team decided to fix this and started developing Witcher: Total War.
According to a recent announcement, the mod’s authors have been busy building units in recent months. They shared screenshots showing three of them belonging to the Nilfgaard Empire: Alba, Brigade Nauzikaa, and Brigade Impera.
Here they are in all their glory:
Unfortunately, no release date was announced for the mod. However, soon the authors promised to share other materials.
The main goal of the Witcher: Total War developers is to prepare 29 playable factions. But it is planned to release them gradually, in the form of small campaigns. They will unfold in different parts of the world and will include from three to six factions, and their action will take place in different periods of time in the universe of The Witcher.
