And right now we will describe it – not in all the details, of course, but you will have an idea. Detailed overview

This game is a tactical real-time strategy game. In a sense, this is a crossover between two game series: Total War and Warhammer: the gameplay of the first, the factions of the second. This part opens the trilogy in this sub-series. What about factions? Five factions are officially available and they are: Greenskins, Human Empire, Dwarves, Vampire Clans and Chaos Warriors. But there is one limitation associated with the latter, which at one time cost the developers their sympathy of the players. The fact is that this faction was available only to those players who made a pre-order, but then, nevertheless, the developers promised this faction to those who bought the game in the first week after its release. But since a lot of time has passed since the release, we think that the playability of this faction is no longer a problem. As in many other tactical strategies, each faction in the game has a number of unique features that are unique to it, and this is primarily expressed in units. Each faction has unique units; the Human Empire, for example, has steam tanks, while the Greenskins have the ability to train trolls, giants, and so on. Also, none of the factions are deprived of something of their own in terms of passing; for example, the same Greenskins have a special system under the eloquent name “Waaagh”, and it also eloquently tells the player that he is on the warpath and cannot leave it. The same applies to other factions, but they already have their own characteristics. In this part, a new mode of completing tasks has appeared, which now includes battles. After completing such a task, the player invariably gets something useful, namely access to new abilities and items. For some, for sure, an important plus will be the fact that an air type of troops has appeared – these are dragons and griffins, as the cover indicates to us. Well, of course, there was magic. Magic is practiced primarily in the Empire and the Vampire Counties, and they can draw on several schools of magic, making them quite powerful factions (but this is balanced out by the other abilities they don’t have). Settlements in this game can either be captured or destroyed. Moreover, if you play as the Warriors of Chaos, then you are doomed to behave like a real nomad all the time in the game – this faction simply does not settle anywhere.

Reviews

Basically, this part received rather high marks from both Russian and foreign publications. No game is made to be perfect, and this one isn’t, but it’s pretty enjoyable to play.
