Ankama Studio has launched a turn-based multiplayer RPG called Waven in Early Access. The game can be downloaded for free on PC through the service Steambut there are also three optional Founder’s Packs for sale, including additional items and currency.
The current version includes 17 islands, 25 playable heroes, 90 companions, 250 daily quests, 300 spells, 300 characters and 600 monsters. According to the authors, the gameplay is well polished, and many features, such as co-op dungeons, PvP arenas, or an in-game cosmetics store, are already working. More content is planned to be added during Early Access, including 5 Heroes, Elite Bosses, and the asynchronous PvP mode “Defend the Island”.
“Early Access is the culmination of several years of development, gallons of coffee and tea, countless hair lost in combat by our developers, constructive discussions with the community, a few steps back and more steps forward to move forward and increase our game ambitions. .. This is a wonderful project that is presented today thanks to a dedicated development team and a loyal and passionate community. We can never thank you enough for your continued support! We are more than ready and very eager to go on this adventure with you. The history of WAVEN will be written by your adventures and will shine through your exploits. What happens next is up to you! Ready to get on board?” – said the XyaLe project manager.
WAVEN is a new MMORPG from Ankama Studio, the makers of Wakfu and Dofus. The project combines elements of adventure and turn-based strategies, as well as deck building mechanics and valuable collectibles. The events of the novelty unfold in the same universe of Krosmoz as the previous games of the studio. Alone or together with friends, you have to challenge hordes of monsters, participating in dynamic turn-based battles.
At the moment, the game is only available on PC (Windows, Mac), but in the future it is also expected to be released on mobile devices with support for cross-platform multiplayer.
