A new gameplay video has appeared online Fairgamesa shooter from Haven Studios, a Sony studio led by Jade Raymond. The publication coincided with the start of a new wave of closed playtests.
Testing started on the player.gg platform, of which Geoff Keighley is a partner. The service said it received “exclusive access to a closed playtest of an unannounced competitive action shooter codenamed Project Espresso, which is being developed by a AAA studio.”
Previously there was information that Project Espresso is the working designation Fairgames. The publication also wrote that PlayStation has registered the Break In trademark, which could become the final name of the game.

According to leaked materials, we are talking about an action shooter with a classic structure for the genre – players land on a map, collect loot and try to get out. The cut shows city locations, a vault robbery and shootouts with opposing teams.
The description of the modes from the build looks like this:

Break In – Find the vault code to gain access to the safe. Collect cash, upgrade your skill set and make your move

Drilling – the storage facility has been opened. Be the team that takes the cargo, or strategize to intercept it

Evacuation (Extract) – the cargo must be delivered to the evacuation point. Use the recovery device to call for transport. If the team was unable to remove the cargo, use another exit exit
Earlier this year, it was reported that Haven Studios was having difficulty finding “the right kind of fun” in its game. Judging by the reaction to the new video, the situation has not changed – in the comments the game is criticized for the lack of fresh ideas against the backdrop of the already saturated genre of action shooters.
Haven Studios was founded in 2021 and came under the wing of PlayStation Studios that same year. Fairgames remains the team’s first game and is being developed as a service game for PC and PS5.
