June edition Polygon reported rumors regarding the next game in the Tom Clancy’s universe. Then it turned out that it would be a shareware shooter with factions from The Division, Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Now everything is much clearer: Ubisoft reported through its Twitter accountthat today, July 19th, we will see the world premiere of this project. If you remember, the publisher wants to change their strategy and move to the production of AAA-level F2P games. For example, one of the next parts of Assassin’s Creed will be a live service with different eras, just like in World of Warcraft.
The premiere will take place on YouTube and will start at 20:30 Moscow time. Insiders report that the main mode in the new Tom Clancy’s project is PvP with a pinch of PvEvP. The game’s code name is “Battlecat”. The gameplay will be in the first person, based on the setting of The Division.
So far, the platforms for Battlecat are unknown. Judging by the short video from IGN, then this is a theme for PC and consoles with battles in locations with many cover. We will keep you updated.
