Reddit users discovered hidden page of the game’s private playtest Lion’s Arch: GuildWars Arena from NCSOFT. Judging by the statistics of the SteamDB portal, on October 25, the peak online of the project reached six people. The name Lion’s Arch refers to a large game city located in the Kryta region and in which part of the plot of Guild Wars 2 takes place, as well as game events. For example, the city is currently the heart of Halloween festivities.
One of the discussion participants remindedthat in 2023, vacancies for a card game based on the Guild Wars universe were opened on the NCSOFT website. The weight of the game also speaks in favor of the CCG – the game takes up only 1.33 GB of disk space, judging by information from SteamDB.
It is worth adding that, answering questions from investors as part of the financial report for the first quarter of 2022, a representative of NCSOFT announced the development of a new game based on the Guild Wars franchise. No details other than “it’s too early to say anything about this project” were provided at that time.
