Relic Entertainment has revealed the exact release date of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition. It became known that the updated version of the classical strategy in real time will be available on August 14, 2025. The project will appear on a PC and will be distributed through Steam and GOG digital stores.
The cost of Definitive Edition will be $ 29.99 (regional prices have not yet been announced). For players who are already owned by Dawn of War – Anniversary Edition, a 30% discount is provided for the purchase of a new version in Steam and GOG. This special proposal will act on an ongoing basis.
The studio confirmed that Definitive Edition will not include new content or will not receive shooting DLC. The main attention is focused on providing the full experience of the original game, optimized for modern equipment. The team is going to track critical problems and errors after launch in order to promptly release the necessary corrections. Although the main task is to update the game for modern equipment, the developers pay attention to feedback from players. The balance in the multiplayer mode will remain mainly the same, but some of the most serious mistakes will be corrected. In addition, work is underway on changes in highly effective elements, such as the behavior of flying units or the movement of infantry and technology, as well as on improvements in the quality of life, for example, mesh keys.
