The sandbox game Valheim was a huge success for the Embracer Group. More than 6.8 million copies have been sold since February 2021. CEO Lars Wingefors said Valheim’s sales could increase by an additional 1-1.2 million copies before the current quarter close on June 30.
In addition, the Embracer conglomerate, under whose wing studios THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, Saber Interactive, Gearbox and others, announced the development of 160 projects. Some of them are entirely new franchise titles.
The company also plans to acquire more than 150 studios and is currently negotiating with several of them.
