Valve will attend E3 2021 for the first time in 9 years, why not wait for Half-Life 3?

Big publishers like Square Enix and Ubisoft attend E3 2021 as usual. But when Valve comes into play, the stakes go up: the company will be attending E3 for the first time since 2012. Many people immediately started hinting at the announcement of Half-Life 3 or Artifact 2.0, but this is far from the truth. It all started when the PC Gaming Show said Valve would say “something about Steam.” The organizers later changed the description by adding Steam Next Fest. If you don’t know, this is an event dedicated to independent developers.

It turns out that Gabe Newell’s company will share their plans for their event. If we talk about rumors, then there is more food for thought: the gaming industry is waiting for the announcement of a portable PC-set-top box similar to the Nintendo Switch. Gabe also said that by the end of 2021 he will talk about whether his company will port some games to the console. The head of Valve added that this will be an unexpected answer.

E3 2021 is starting very soon. Read more about it here. We will also publish a precise timetable calendar for AppTime readers very soon.
