Publisher Wargaming has announced its withdrawal from the two largest CIS markets. The company expects large losses.
After several weeks of deliberation, Wargaming leaves two countries – Russia and Belarus. This means that now all income from these countries will be received by the St. Petersburg division, with which the “parent” company has severed all ties, including financial ones. It turns out that Wargaming will no longer receive profit from the Russian Federation and Belarus. By the way, the developers directly said that they expect big losses because of this.
Wargaming will close the studio in Minsk, so all content for the CIS will be tied to Lesta Studio. Now the fate of World of Warships is interesting, because it was she who helped Wargaming with the development of this naval arcade. By the way, the creators of World of Tanks did not explain why they were leaving Russia and Belarus. Their answer is rather vague – it’s about “strategic review of business operations around the world.” We are waiting for the reaction of Gaijin Entertainment, as well as the list of countries for the Tank Company CBT, which should take place in the CIS.
