The probability of hitting the target and the amount of damage dealt depend on:

  • type and model of weapon;

  • ability to manage it;

  • distance from the target;

  • the penetration value of the weapon and the type of armor worn by the opponent.

Each armor provides the character with protection, the value of which is expressed in values ​​from 1 to 10. The effectiveness of protection depends on the degree of penetration of the weapon used. The penetration value is also measured in values ​​from 1 to 10 and determines how thick the armor can penetrate a bullet, that is, cause maximum damage. If the penetration value is lower than the armor level, the damage is correspondingly lower. If it is higher, the damage will be optimal. The effect of an individual weapon is different, depending on whether the target is armored or not. Clubs, sniper rifles and, of course, heavy weapons have the highest penetration value. On the other side of the spectrum are automatic weapons and shotguns. The damage dealt by, for example, energy weapons depends on the type of armor the opponent is wearing. Conductive armor wearers take more damage, while non-conductive armor wearers take less damage. You can view the armor type by hovering over the armor icon.

Conductors have a lightning bolt in the upper right corner. You can get more information by flipping the weapon in your loadout. The target’s armor can be checked after hovering the mouse over the target. If the armor has reduced damage dealt, this will be represented by a red shield icon next to the damage value. Also covers deserve a mention. Using the elements of the environment, you can take cover from shooting, for example, behind a car accident. If you see a white shield symbol after hovering your mouse over this place, it means that your character will be protected there. Then it will be more difficult for the opponent to hit him. The strength of the coating depends on its type – a wooden box breaks after a few shots, but heavy equipment may be required to destroy a metal structure. In addition, the situation, character, plays a role in the game. A character standing on a hill does more damage and has a better chance of hitting a target than a single shot uphill. All factors must be considered when positioning your people.
