Blizzard makes Diablo IV and Diablo Immortal. Grinding Gear Games is working on Path of Exile 2. There will be a new story that unfolds over seven acts. As in the original Path of Exile, all roads lead to the Atlas. The second part will keep the content from all the add-ons, and also offer something new. This applies to the skill system, Ascendancy classes, and engine improvements. Let’s go through the second point – players will see 19 new classes.
If you are disappointed in the skill system, then in the second part it will be fixed: support gems can be inserted into skill gems. Each character’s skill is improved with five support stones. They will change equipment and character models. The developers are talking about beta testing, but it won’t start until 2022.
Path of Exile 2 will be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At the beginning of the year, the developers of the second part said that the project may not be released in 2021, since they were then transferred to the Echoes of the Atlas add-on. The mob models in the screenshots are disappointing; if the guys from Grinding Gear want to make a qualitative leap, then they better not repeat the history of Cyberpunk 2077 and score on the old generation of consoles. Especially if the release is in 2022.
