Korean company Webzen has revealed details of its new mobile MMORPG called MU Monarch, based on the famous MU universe. The game will be made in a retro style and will inherit the graphics and interface from the very first part of MU Online.
According to the plot of the new product, the rebel Demon King is wreaking havoc and destruction on the continent of MU. Local rulers declare war for power and resources, hoping to build a new empire and find a fragment of the Seal Stone that can stop the Demon King.
The development system in MU Monarch, according to the authors, is based on obtaining items on the battlefields and time spent in the game. The MMORPG will return classic content from the original, including the PvP mode Chaos Castle, raid dungeons Devil’s Square and Blood Castle, and the competitive co-op mode Crywolf. In addition, a free trading system is promised. As for classes, there will be three to choose from: Dark Knight, Dark Wizard and Fairy Eld. Their trailers are located below.
MU Monarch developers have already launched official site, where you can find basic information about the game and pre-register. The release is planned for the second half of 2024, but so far only in South Korea.
