After the first meeting with the players, the developers of MMORPG Throne and Liberty received many wishes, suggestions and complaints about the development of the game. All ideas were divided into 45 points, of which 36 will be implemented in the game. Let’s briefly tell you what the developers will do in the game based on the wishes of the players.
The test version of the arena has been available in the game since July 3, 2024, and the first pre-season is currently underway. The developers receive feedback from players and check the performance of the main mechanics in order to further take into account all comments and prepare this content for a full launch.
The update on July 17, 2024 will bring a number of small changes that will not require much time investment from the team:
- Prohibition of using guardian transformation to complete weekly single bosses.
- More information about the results of each guild member who participated in the sieges.
- When a siege begins, the entire alliance will teleport to the castle, not just the owning guild.
- Siege Golems and their spawn locations will be rebalanced.
- GvG events will receive updated rewards. However, this change may be postponed to July 24.
The July 24th update will add some complex changes. Some of them were planned earlier, and NCSOFT announced them at a meeting with players:
- Makes it easier to develop your character on the high end.
- Balance changes to weapons will increase the lifespan of characters in battle and reduce the chance of dying in one control.
- It is proposed to make farming in open dungeons more useful and longer lasting. As it turned out, some players spoke negatively about reducing farming time to 30 minutes a day.
- Cross-server GvGs will receive some minor changes so that guilds can focus on fighting among themselves.
- They will add a new battle pass and new costumes. In the future, costumes will incorporate the appearance of existing in-game gear.
- Group dungeons will be made easier, and in Tier-2 it will be possible to gather through automatic selection.
- A device will be added to track the Gigantrid whale. And in the Talandre region there will be a “surprise”.
Low-level co-op dungeons will be redesigned so that high-level characters will be motivated to go into them. However, this will not appear in the game until August 21, when the game receives a major update with a new region.
Some of the community’s proposals will be implemented in the fourth quarter of 2024:
- The visual display of “double damage” will be reworked, as it is now difficult to distinguish it from a regular attack.
- The color display of enemies and allies will be updated, making it easier to identify targets.
- In the first quarter of 2025, content for raids for 12 people will appear and at the same time they will add settings for drop rules in parties.
- Instance battles will appear, where several guilds can take part.
- An update to the guard transformation system is planned for the first quarter of 2025.
It is separately noted that the developers will think about introducing complex monsters into open dungeons, adding clan skills and some tools for communication in the game within groups and guilds.
