Wolfenstein: The New Order is the next installment in the legendary first-person shooter series. The game was developed by MachineGames, which is made up of veteran Starbreeze studios behind titles such as The Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness.
In this new edition of Wolfenstein, the player once again assumes the role of B.J. Blazkowicz, an American war hero. The story begins during World War II but quickly moves into the 1960s. In this alternate version of reality, the Nazis won World War II thanks to the Wunderwaffe (German for “wonderful weapon”) and took control of the entire Earth, introducing the new order of the same name. Blazkowicz takes up arms again to face his sworn enemies
Significantly for the story, MachineGames decided to find solutions straight out of Inglourious Basterds: the game offers colorful characters and memorable confrontation scenes with them, and even the ability to make simple choices during cutscenes. The campaign tells the story of Blazkowicz and takes place in different parts of Europe. The famous hero even came to Poland.
There are many new elements in the gameplay itself. For starters, Blazkowicz can use an object cutter, which helped developers realize simple puzzles. In terms of shooting, the creators emphasize the power of fire, because each of the rifles and pistols is powerful. In addition, the New Order introduces a system of using two weapons at a time, cover and capture. The games pay homage to old shooters and require the player to grab a first aid kit and ammo boxes. The player won’t live long without running.
The modern graphic design was achieved mainly thanks to the id Tech 5 engine, which was used in games such as Rage and The Evil Within. The visuals are a bit more futuristic than previous Wolfensteins and are thus reminiscent of the Killzone series. The new order, however, looks visually colder, accompanied by a toned down electronic soundtrack.
is a first-person shooter and the next part of the series, in which you will again play the role of American soldier B. J. Blazkowitz, fighting the Nazis on the front lines. The game was developed by MachineGames Studios and released on May 20, 2014. Moreover, the protagonist finds himself in an alternative, fictional reality, where his enemies rule the world after winning World War II. An important element of the game is that you don’t have to go through all the fire sequences, but you can sneak around and get stealth kills. This is important because officers can call support as soon as they see Blazkowitz. Worst of all, they keep calling for reinforcements until they die, so to avoid chaos, it would be good if these guys died in peace.
Use the torch to cut the chains and break through the tiles and metal bars.
Most heavy enemies are very tough. Their only weak point is their head.
Always look around the room for ammo and health packs.
Using two weapons is more effective at short distances.
Armored enemies are easily destroyed with missiles and lasers.
Some of the laser’s energy regenerates itself, so you can shoot twice.
When cracking Enigma codes, remember that each line must end with “09” and the second line consists of the first 8 numbers in reverse order.
You can acquire skills only if certain conditions are met, described in the tab about them.
The armor upgrade can only be found in the Wyatt timeline, and the energy boost can only be found in the Fergus timeline.
Silently kill the officers, because this way you will see the locations of the secrets on your map and they will not be able to call for support.
Depending on the timeline, you will be able to either close or open the locks.
Entrance to Vault 101
You can find the entrance to the Fallout vault at the Rebel base when you go to the hangars. The big door with “101” is next to the last helicopter.
In the Wyatt timeline, when you are at the base, you can meet a guy who looks and acts like Jimi Hendrix. Use the guitar located in the room on the ground floor to talk to him and you will play together.
Quake 3 Arena Rocket Launcher
During a trip to London Nautica, you can see a miniature rocket launcher attached to the keys.
While you are at the base, you can go to the top floor. There will be a bed that you can interact with. Falling asleep, you will have a nightmare, and you will find yourself in a location from Wolfenstein 3D. There are posters above the bed and you will see a screenshot from this game on one of the monitors during one of the missions.
The game has a reference to Doom 1 and 2. In the room full of papers in the base, “IDKFA” is written on one of the walls, and in these games you got all the weapons.
