Blizzard has officially announced the classic World of Warcraft servers for the legendary Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Previously, the developers restarted the vanilla version and Burning Crusade, but this year players will be able to return to the second addon again.
In World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, players start in one of two zones in Northrend, Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord. During the course of the story, they will have to visit various locations and eventually go to the heart of the Lich King’s domain – Icecrown Citadel.
The addition introduces a new old class, the Death Knight, which is available to both factions and starts at level 55. The Inscription profession will appear, allowing you to change the properties of spells and abilities, create accessories and items for the left hand. In addition, players will have the opportunity to complete iconic 5-player dungeons such as Azjol-Nerub and the Scouring of Stratholme, as well as take part in the Siege of Naxxramas during a 10 or 25-player raid.
As with previous classic versions of World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be available to anyone with a basic subscription at no additional cost.
