Xiaomi announced Mi Reader Pro, its latest e-book and the successor to the Mi Reader, unveiled last year. The novelty received a large 7.8-inch (1872 x 1404 pixels) flat e-Ink screen with a pixel density of 330PPI. A 24-level dimmable front-illuminated LED reading lamp allows you to adjust the color tone from cool to warm for easy transition from daytime to comfortable nighttime reading. The device supports voice search and automatically finds keywords, making it easier to type, search and read.
Mi Reader Pro has an anti-reflective coating, so reading in general is like reading not an e-book but a regular book. EBook weighs 251 grams, so it is easy to hold with one hand and is only 7mm thick. Equipped with a quad-core processor with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, the book reader works running Android 8.1 (Oreo), has 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage in which you can store thousands of e-books. The eRader has a built-in hardware EPDC controller for smooth page flipping and reduced power consumption.
Supports Baidu cloud storage, WeChat reading, and multi-screen cloud, as well as one-click login and download. Novika supports .txt, .epub, .pdf formats and Office documents. She is equipped with a 3200mAh battery with a Type-C charging socket and provides up to 70 days of standby time.
Mi Reader Pro comes in black and is priced at 1099 Yuan (167 US dollars / approximately 12340 rubles) and is available through the Mi Crowdfunding platform in China.
