Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite and Redmi Note 7 have started receiving MIUI 12.5 globally, while in the case of Mi 9, the update is only available for the European model so far. The update for Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite carries a build number V220.127.116.11.RFCMIXM, the firmware for Mi 9 received a number V18.104.22.168.RFAEUXM, and for Redmi Note 7 – V22.214.171.124.QFGMIXM… Interestingly, the build for Redmi Note 7 is not based on Android 11, as for other models, but on Android 10.
It should be noted that these are not final assemblies, and stable beta versions… With these test builds, Xiaomi wants to find out if it missed any bugs and vulnerabilities during internal testing of the update.
You can download MIUI 12.5 for the above models on the Mi Community portal at this link.
By the way, despite the fact that not all smartphones Mi, Redmi and POCO received MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi is already working on the next major update to its proprietary user interface. We are talking about MIUI 13, the announcement of which is expected before the end of the summer.
