This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first human-crewed flight into space, and in honour of this, Wargaming has launched a special event, “To the Stars!” in World of Tanks. Until April 19, players will be able to complete combat missions and earn Star Points required to receive rewards.

The event includes two stages: personal and general progress. The overall progress will last until April 12 and will consist of five stages, each lasting for 24 hours. Star points earned for completing tasks will be taken into account in the overall statistics.

By participating in the “To the Stars!” At the event, players will be able to receive unique decals, inscriptions, a commemorative medal, and a new 2D style “First Flight”, created based on the Vostok-1 spacecraft, on which the first cosmonaut ascended into near-earth orbit.

For the passage of personal progress, your commanders will be joined by Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin himself, whose image was created based on a photo where the cosmonaut is captured in an orange spacesuit. His remarks are recorded in such a way as to convey intonation and diction as closely as possible. In the arsenal, the commander will have a fully researched “Combat Brotherhood” and a sufficient amount of experience to pump an additional skill.
