While co-op shooter Payday 3 still has a lot of problems, Starbreeze Studios has no intention of abandoning its planned DLC release. The developers have announced the release of the first chapter, entitled “Syntax Error,” which can be purchased separately or as part of the Silver and Gold editions.
The add-on adds a new robbery, “Syntax Error,” in which players will have to rob tech giant Scry Digital, a leader in the field of data protection. It also includes the Tailor Pack and Weapon Pack cosmetics. If desired, both the heist and the sets can be purchased separately.
“The sinister conspiracy is behind us, but some questions remain unanswered. While examining files found on Patricia Shark’s server, the Payday gang discovers a specification from an advanced drone control program that costs a fortune. Clues lead them to Scry Digital’s data center on the edge of Ryan Park in Manhattan. In a world where information, not money, rules everything, robbers also need to adapt. This time, their loot is stored on servers that are unhackable and guarded by powerful AI. Well, we’ll have to move these servers directly from the data center,” reads the description of the add-on.
