Cross-saving in Warframe will work with the release of the major update “Whispers in the Walls”

Digital Extremes has announced the estimated release date for the next major update for co-op third-person shooter Warframe. An update called “Whispers in the Walls” will be released in December 2023, and with this, cross-saving will finally work in the game. This means that players will be able to play on different platforms while keeping their progress consistent.

The Whispers in the Walls update will bring with it a ton of new content. First of all, there will be a new story chapter, during which you will have to return to Deimos and explore Albrecht’s mysterious underground laboratory in search of his traces. The gilded alcoves are patrolled by abandoned Necramechs, protecting the secret research of their late master. You will also encounter a ghostly creature whose motives are still unclear.

Three types of missions will also be added:

  • Alchemy – Fill your crucibles with the right combination of elemental energies, while also protecting them from new enemies.
  • Assassination – Track and kill the Fragmented One while protecting the All-Seeing Eye. The Man in the Wall will watch you and send hordes of enemies.
  • Netra Cells – Search for Void-influenced Netra Cells in Albrecht’s Laboratory to uncover secret knowledge.

There will also be a new warframe named Corvex, which will be the 55th in a row. It looks like a huge concrete mass located around the Crucible Core. His abilities deal radiation damage to enemies and protect allies.

In addition, the game will feature a new Grimoire weapon in the form of a book. There are few details about it yet, but the description says it allows for “amazingly destructive abilities.”
